Under 12 category was added in 1983, and the tournament was held at 2 locations. Later, TTC joined as a hosting club for the tournament.
From 1996, the tournament was officially moved to TTC. From this year, the tournament was also used as the qualifying trial for the world junior tennis squad.

This tournament with history has received the cup from the imperial family.
Mr. Kei Nishikori also has participated in and has won the tournament when he was 12 years old.

The Number of participants increased every year, and its peak, 3,500 players competed in 14 clubs using a total more than 150 courts.
